Saroj Khan was one of the most prominent dance choreographers in
Indian cinema. She was best known as The Mother of Dance in India.

Saroj Khan was born on 22 November 1948 in Mumbai, Maharashtra,
India. Her real name is Nirmala Nagpal. Her father was Late
Kishanchand Sadhu Singh and mother is Noni Sadhu Singh. They are
four siblings in their family.
Let’s talk about Saroj Khan’s career –
She started her career as a child artist at the age of three with the film Nazarana and a background dancer in the late 1950s. Later, she shifted to choreography; she initially started off as an assistant choreographer and later established herself as an independent choreographer with movies such as Mr. India, Nagina, Chandani, and more. She gets huge appreciation for her work with Sridevi; Hawa Hawai in Mr. India (1987), and later with Madhuri Dixit, heart throwing performance at Ek Do Teen in Tezaab, Tamma Tamma Loge, Dhak Dhak Karne Laga, Kate Nahin Kat Te, Dola Re Dola, and many more. Thereafter, she become one of the most successful choreographers in Bollywood. Her last choreographed for ‘Tabaah Hogaye’ in Kalank'(2019). She has choreographed more than 2000 songs till date.
In addition, Saroj Khan appeared on a many reality dance show as a jury
member such as a Nach Baliye, Ustaadon Ka Ustaad, Nachle Ve with
Saroj Khan, Boogie Woogie, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and many more.
